Dr. Nelson

Dr. Jonathan L. Nelson, D.D.S., is a native of Iowa.  After graduating from Storm Lake High School, he joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers Swimming and Diving team.  His dedication to athletic excellence was mirrored in the class room.  Dr. Nelson graduated with a B.S. in 1999 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery education in 2003 from the University of  Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry.   He joined a group practice in Madison, WI, where he worked until 2007.  In the fall of 2007, Dr Nelson and his wife moved to Windsor to pursue their dream of practicing and living in Colorado.

CEREC AC

The revolutionary new CEREC AC machine allows us to custom-fabricate tooth restorations quickly and easily. Whereas in the past it required multiple visits and temporary appliances to complete porcelain veneers, crowns, and other cosmetic solutions, CEREC AC allows us to complete treatment in a single dental visit, often in less than an hour. Based on a digital scan of your teeth, the restorations are crafted within the machine to be indistinguishable from the rest of your teeth.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are surgically placed into the jawbone. The artificial tooth roots are capped with a realistic aesthetic crown that is indistinguishable from the rest of your teeth. For those who are missing a tooth or several teeth, dental implants are a sturdier and more natural looking alternative to bridges or dentures. The artificial roots are made of biocompatible titanium.  This allows the bone and gum tissue to grow securely around the implant. Our office specializes in crafting the aesthetic crown for the implant rather than the actual implant placement surgery. We will work closely with an oral surgeon or a periodontist to ensure ideal treatment.

 
 

Digital X-rays

Though traditional x-rays emit a miniscule amount of radiation, new digital x-rays limit that exposure by 90 percent. Once taken, the digital x-rays are instantaneously transmitted onto a computer monitor for both you and the dentist to examine. Now both you and your dentist can discuss any dental work that needs to be performed, easing any anxiety you may have experienced in the past.
